Today I wanted to go to The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston to see their biennial showcase on Boston-area artists, but it was a snow day and hasn’t stopped. I love the building—all glass and sharp angled steel hovering over Boston Harbor like a protective bird. I like to look at art alone, so I can go at my own pace, think my own thoughts and not be interrupted. It’s a way of taking in beauty, finding inspiration and refreshing myself. Maybe I’ll get there tomorrow. It’s not far from where I live.
