My Father’s Birthday

Dear Priscilla Bennett Friends,
It’s Friday June 2, and my father’s birthday is today. He’s no longer with us, but I always think about what he gave me as a parent—unconditional love, stability and support. Gifts so many daughters don’t get from a parent that should be their birthright.
I remember a case that came into the emergency room one night whose father was high profile society with millions of dollars—wouldn’t give his daughter the money to leave her husband who was beating her up—the father had introduced them and said it was her fault, and she should fix it to keep scandal away and protect their name—“No bad publicity” was his motto. “My father doesn’t love me, he loves himself and picked this monster for me,” she said. “How do I get out and survive with my children?”
There is help, my Priscilla Bennett Community, and thank you for listening and for your support. Please visit my website at www.priscillabennett.com to read my new blog and get more helpful information by clicking on the RESOURCES tab and reading articles. Remember the Priscilla Bennett Pledge to reach out to someone with a kind word, conversation or gesture and remember that we all have SOMETHING TO BE BRAVE FOR.
Have a good weekend,
PRISCILLA BENNETT XOXO
